Cercle Cité Luxembourg is hosting the FLUX Feelings exhibition until 24 June 2018. All visitors welcome!

What’s in a name?

FLUX Feelings is a continuation of the 2017 collaboration between the Lët’z Arles association and the Rencontres d’Arles photography festival. The exhibition’s title refers to an essential element of photography - ‘lux’ or light - while also containing a poetic expression of the concepts of light, movement and feeling, which guided the choice of artworks to be exhibited.

A number of works from the Arlon exhibition have been specially selected for the Ratskeller venue. Different variations on unifying themes over time are presented through the artists’ personal interpretations and commissioned pieces which are now part of national collections.

A look at Luxembourg

The panorama is made up of photographs from different records and generations living in Luxembourg, as well as international artists who have taken an interest in the Grand Duchy’s natural and human landscape. The result is a diverse portrait that addresses questions of identity and the way in which Luxembourg is portrayed.

Artists from many backgrounds

The exhibition features works by numerous artists: Christian Aschman, Lewis Baltz, Bernd and Hilla Becher, Sven Becker, Valérie Belin, Laurianne Bixhain, Mike Bourscheid, Sébastien Cuvelier, Charles Fréger, Paul Gaffney, Patrick Galbats, Stephen Gill, Marco Godinho, Sophie Jung, Andrés Lejona, Michel Medinger, Martin Parr, Armand Quetsch, Pasha Rafiy, Romain Urhausen, Daniel Wagener and photographs from the Ville de Luxembourg/Photothèque collection.
