Luxembourg UCITS funds are celebrating their 30th anniversary. We look back at three decades of investment fund expertise.
Exactly thirty years ago, the Law of 30 March 1988 relating to undertakings for collective investment was published. It paved the way for a new cross-border investment fund industry in Luxembourg and the birth of the UCITS brand. Three decades on, Luxembourg is the world’s second biggest investment fund centre after the United States. Banque de Luxembourg was one of the first to provide specialised investment fund services and it remains a leader in the sector today.
