Banque de Luxembourg is a Gold Sponsor of the Celebrating Luxembourg campaign, which Maison Moderne has been running throughout 2017. At the closing gala evening, held at the Rockhal on 13 December, Philippe Depoorter highlighted the importance of passing on Luxembourg’s unique skills and values to future generations, who will continue to develop this heritage.
At the event, Banque de Luxembourg wished to emphasise the importance of a group who were not present on stage: the young people who will carry Luxembourg’s image and reputation into the future.
Passing on what we create today is essential if we want to be a lasting influence, generate cohesion and meaning, and strengthen the Luxembourg brand in the future. We therefore asked children to present their vision of Luxembourg in the future.
But our international influence is also felt thousands of kilometres away from the Grand Duchy, in the most disadvantaged regions, where charity work and humanitarian commitment also play their part in enhancing the Luxembourg brand. One example of this is a little school in the Gaibandah region of Bangladesh, where the Friendship NGO assists the poorest communities, with the help of families, doctors and companies based in Luxembourg.
Worthwhile projects like these are another important way of promoting and enhancing our international reputation.
