Banque de Luxembourg employees joined other volunteers to support homeless people by serving them a Christmas dinner and providing an afternoon of recreation. The initiative provides an ideal opportunity to highlight the considerable work carried out by the Stëmm vun der Stross association to encourage social and professional integration for disadvantaged people.

Founded in 1996, Stëmm vun der Stross works to promote the social and professional integration of underprivileged individuals. This non-profit organisation is approved by the Luxembourg Ministry of Health and works closely with the Luxembourg Red Cross.

It provides assistance to people who are homeless or unemployed, immigrants, and those suffering from mental health issues and/or addiction to drugs, alcohol or medication.

"Follow me Home"

The images in this film offer an insight into the daily lives of homeless people. “Follow me Home” was created as a voluntary project by our colleague, Vito Labalestra, in collaboration with Marc Hammer.

A year in figures:

• 100,130 meals served
• 137 tonnes of food products given out free of charge
• 249 individuals trained in vocational reintegration workshops at 5 sites
• 30 individuals rehoused through the Immo Stëmm service
• 575 free consultations provided by volunteer doctors through the Docteur Stëmm service
